| The HR-IL Air/fuel Ratio
Calibrator and the HR-TM Tuning Module provide precise adjustment of the
air/fuel ratio over the entire operating range of an internal combustion
engine. They are especially useful for re-calibration of modified engines.
The alteration or addition of turbochargers, superchargers, fuel injectors,
fuel regulators, throttle bodies, intake plenums, Mass Air Flow (MAF)
sensors or Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensors, changes the air/fuel
ratio. The HR-IL and HR-TM give the user a convenient way to set the fuel
mixture for rich, lean or stoichiometric operation over the entire RPM and
load range. The HR-IL and HR-TM units have special programming and wire harnesses made to specifically match these units to your Porsche. These are ONLY AVAILABLE thru Huntley Racing. All support must come directly from HR on these proprietary units. The HR-IL is specifically designed for the replacement of an Air Flow Meter (AFM) intake measurement system with a MAF sensor. The HR-IL performs then required signal conditioning to assure compatibility. Conversion to the MAF sensor removes a major restriction on the engine resulting in higher power and efficiency. The HR-IL provides a means to achieve a best fit approximation to the desired air/fuel calibration curve. It gives the user the ability to make these adjustments without a PROM change in the ECU. Furthermore, these adjustments can be made by the driver on-the-fly using the HR-TM to optimize the air/fuel ratio for the current driving situation. The HR-IL is used in conjunction with a precision air/fuel ratio meter such as the Paradox Engineering AF-1 or other accurate air/fuel monitor. The air/fuel ratio meter provides the required information needed to properly set the HR-IL with the HR-TM controller. Features:
