| If you have
shopped around for an upgrade suspension set-up for your car you probably
found out that you are stuck with two very different choices. You have the
choice of a full race set-up or street upgrades with nothing
in the middle. The biggest problem with the race set-ups is the price and
the designed use. Our competition is very expensive and most racers end up
with set-ups for a generic car. If you intend to run PCA, POC, or SCCA club,
time trial, or autocrosses, be prepared to have to re-engineer those systems
to work correctly. Often times in order to make those systems work you will
have to send them to someone to re-valve and hope they do it right. Street
set-ups from our competition work well for their limited designed
application. The problem is they aren't enough for serious performance even
on the street. Take them on the track and they are way out of their
operation range. Shock dyno testing shows this is true every time. So until
we developed these kits you either were trying to kill mosquitoes with a
Howitzer or trying to take down an elephant with a slingshot. Our packages
can be set-up to be used for very high performance street use (with light
springs and dampers) to a complete track-winning package. This is not a ‘one
kit fits all cars’ set-up. We will tailor the spring and shock rates to your
specifications, based on the type of driving and racing you will be doing,
the tracks you will be using and the specifications of your car including
corner weights and drivetrain modifications. If you want to 'maintain a
supple ride while enhancing your performance' call our competition. The
lightest spring rates possible with our shocks and struts are stiff on the
street. We have several street/strip cars running our kits but it's not for
everyone. On the track expect nothing less than perfection. Our cars are not
only holding their own, they are on their own. Tuning to a specific car is
what made the difference. What the competition
calls an option we often have standard because compromise is never an
option. All Huntley Racing rear shocks are designed to be mounted
upside-down to minimize the unsprung weight. All Huntley Racing rear shocks
are also made in aluminum to further reduce the weight and to dissipate heat
quickly. We use heim joints as our standard mount but can change over the
Poly bushings if wanted. We only use Eibach German springs for the absolute
highest quality and consistency. Our new double adjustable rear shocks are
cutting edge technology made to win every race they are in! Though they
perform better than the big names out there, the price is half as much!
Matched with our new double adjustable front inserts, track dominance is
assured! No other company has so dedicated itself to a cost effective
maximum performance suspension system as Huntley Racing.
